Policies
Thank you for considering Chartwell’s Dining Services at Northeast Community College for your upcoming event. We are committed to bringing you and your guests the highest standards of quality in food, beverage, and guest service. We have developed the following policies to assist you in planning your event.
All on-campus reservations should be made by calling the Campus Events and
Reservations Coordinator at 402-844-7246. Please book your room or suite on
campus before placing your catering order. Payment is due within 14 days after
the event.
All off-campus catering is handled by contacting the Catering Manager at 402-844-7167 and our online ordering process at necc.catertrax.com. A 50% deposit is required prior to off-campus catering events and final payment is due within 14 days after the event.
Early planning of your event will enhance your experience. To ensure that we are available to assist you with your catering needs, we ask that you contact us at least two weeks in advance. For events scheduled less than 5 business days in advance, we will make every effort to accommodate your needs, but current menu pricing and availability cannot be guaranteed. All guest counts must be finalized no later than 5 days before the event. After the deadline the final billing will reflect the guest count stated, unless the guest count rises, in which case the final billing will be adjusted accordingly.
Pricing is subject to change without notice. Payment is required to confirm catering events. For Non-Campus events, please discuss payment arrangements with the Catering Manager at 402-844-7167. All major credit cards are accepted. The balance is due at the conclusion of your event. Menu prices do not include Nebraska State Sales Tax. If your organization is exempt from paying NE Sales Tax, we require a completed FORM 13 from NE DOR prior to your event.
Food is extremely perishable and food safety is the highest priority of Chartwell’s Dining Services. Therefore, we do not allow the removal of any leftovers by guests at the end of any event. Additionally, we may prepare food more than the guaranteed or final billing number to accommodate last minute guests, maintain a selection of choice, or to satisfy other operational needs. This excess remains the property of Chartwell’s Dining Services and you will only be charged for the guaranteed guest count.
If you need to cancel your catering, notice is required 5 days before the date to avoid any charges for incurred expenses. Should your group need to arrive later than originally planned, please notify the Catering Manager 402-844-7167 immediately. Catered meals are very time sensitive, and we schedule our production to provide fresh and timely food. A delay in serving time, especially if unanticipated can result in a diminished culinary experience for your guests.
All Buffets include disposable table service with linens on the buffet tables only. There is an additional charge if linens are requested for your guest tables. All served meal events include complete linen and china. Special requests for specific colors require up to 10 business days for ordering, so if you need to coordinate a theme for your event, contact the Catering Manager at 402-844-7167.
Please speak to our Catering Manager about additional services or items such as a Carving Station, a floral arrangement for the buffet or guest tables, or any special request you may have.
